At FRIENDS OF AFRISOS, our mission is to preserve the cultures of indigenous people and protect the wildlife and habitat where they have lived for tens of thousands of years. We believe that everyone deserves to preserve their culture and heritage as the modern world encroaches on their lives.
FRIENDS OF AFRISOS has been busy trying to secure resources and create awareness in the United States and across the globe about the importance of people staying connected to nature. We continue to identify NGO programs in Tanzania and other countries that facilitate this connection. Our first program we are supporting is the African School of Storytelling (AFRISOS), operating out of Arusha, Tanzania.
We offer pro-bono consulting, donation support and resources on the ground to help the African School of Storytelling (AFRISOS) and their connected NGO partners implement their vision. They protect and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of indigenous people, the connection to the wildlife they value and the land they call home.
